Communication
Can You Help Us Communicate The Monarchist Message?
Following the passing of Her late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II in September 2022, the Crown of the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth Realms passed seamlessly to her eldest son and heir, now His Majesty King Charles III. The smooth constitutional transition demonstrated one of the great strengths of our system of government. His Majesty delivered his first Christmas Broadcast in December 2022, and his Coronation at Westminster Abbey on 6th May 2023 marked the beginning of a new reign.
At this important time, it is essential that there is a strong and effective organisation able to speak up for one of the most important features of our Constitution and our national life. The Constitutional Monarchy Association exists to promote understanding of the many benefits of Constitutional Monarchy and to ensure that its value is properly represented in public debate.
Our Association is supported by an enthusiastic network of members and supporters from across the United Kingdom and around the world, all working to preserve, strengthen, develop and promote our Constitutional Monarchy for future generations.
Unfortunately, sections of the media and some campaign groups continue to seize every opportunity to criticise or undermine members of the Royal Family. A former editor of a national newspaper once remarked during a BBC discussion that there were those who hoped, over time, to move public opinion towards republicanism.
For that reason, we need committed supporters who are willing to help monitor newspapers, television, radio and online media. When balanced and supportive coverage appears, we can encourage and thank those responsible. Where inaccurate or unfair reporting occurs, we can ensure that a courteous, well-informed response is made and that the constitutional case for the Monarchy is clearly presented.
COULD YOU HELP?
If you have the time, interest and enthusiasm to assist, we would be delighted to hear from you. Whether you can occasionally write a letter to a newspaper, respond to an online article, notify us of an important programme or simply help keep watch over the media, your contribution could make a real difference.
Please contact The Constitutional Monarchy Association if you would like to become part of our media monitoring and communications network.
Every voice matters. Together, we can help ensure that the case for Constitutional Monarchy continues to be heard.
